SAG-AFTRA members ratify TV animation contracts with 12.6% raises and AI protections

The four-year contracts run retroactively from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2030, and include wage increases totaling 12.6% over the term, according to Deadline. They add protections on the use of artificial intelligence, including consent requirements for digital replicas used in dubbing, as well as gains in residuals and health and pension contributions, the reports said.

The previous animation deal, reached in 2024, carried a 7% increase, Deadline reported.

Why it matters: The agreements set pay and AI rules for voice actors in TV animation through 2030, an area where performers have pushed for limits on digital voice replicas.
