Alaska Airlines plans daily Anchorage-Tokyo Narita nonstop flights from May 2027

Return flights from Narita are scheduled to start May 14 and run through September 8, Alaska said. The airline said it plans three weekly flights on the route starting in January 2028. Aviation Week reported that the route will be flown with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Why it matters: The flights would be a nonstop link between Alaska and Japan. The service still needs government approval.
