Judge dismisses Trump's $10 billion suit against The Wall Street Journal for good
U.S. District Judge Darrin Gayles ruled that Trump again failed to show the defendants acted with actual malice, the standard public figures must meet in defamation cases, AP and NBC News reported. "Grasping at straws, the Amended Complaint attempts to manufacture flaws with the investigation," Gayles wrote.
The dismissal with prejudice means the case cannot be brought again. Trump has called the letter described in the Journal's story fake.
Why it matters: The ruling ends one of several high-profile lawsuits Trump has filed against news organizations over their coverage of him.
